As happy as we are at MMM to see the demise of Gadhafi, we are a bit concerned with the images and video. We don't fault the people of Libya as only they know the suffering he brought. However it occurs to us, the world has lost some sense of dignity over the last 50 years. The pictures of a dead human being paraded are disturbing in one sense. Again we are conflicted here today with emotions. As much as we may not like seeing that, we cannot help but think these images must invoke a certain fear in Syria and Yemen and perhaps in Iran. How about the royals in Saudi and leaders in Bahrain. Leaders all over the world who are dictators need to know, their last moments will not be pleasant if they are left in the hands of their people.

Here is the recipe for success for the Middle Eastern countries going thru the Arab spring.

First a total disavowal of autocracy and dictatorship.

Secondly, a disavowal of any resort to force or violence.

Thirdly we have to rely on the principles of freedom, public opinion, and respect for our fellow human beings as values needed to foster and advance progress. With them at our disposal it can be achieved.

Fourthly, we must learn to accept from Western civilization the value of science and scientific method without any argument. Nothing else should be automatically accepted without a full discussion of our current realities. With that in mind we should be prepared to get rid of all the fetters that tie us down, whether ancient or modern.

This is the most amazing part of the recipe: It was written in 1974 by Naguib Mahfouz in his novel Karnak Cafe.
A man who knew then, what was needed. Its simple and easy. Now can we please follow it.

Soul of a Nation

A little history lesson. In 1989 China put down an uprising with brute force. It crushed it's own people down as they asked for their human rights. 22 years later the world talks of the emergence of China as a global power. What happened?

Many factors contributed to China getting here, but the seed was planted on that day in 1989. The rulers of China stole the soul of their nation. Which Chinese citizen the day after felt the pride of his/her nation? Which one thought their was a country to be proud of?

The government in China was smart enough to set in motion policies to preserve the soul over the system. They abandoned the social contract for national pride.

Today the world is seeing a flashback. After the Chinese, the wall fell in Berlin and Russia crumbled.
Years ago the Iranians rebelled and got crushed. A year later the Arab spring began. We know the powers that be stole the soul of Iran, let us hope history repeats itself and 20+ yrs from now Iran thrives again. Iranians must hold on to the ideals of humanity. The crushing was the seed of defeat for the Ayatollahs and their perverted form of Islam.

We are forever optimistic. The world will survive the inactions of the spineless one.

The corpses were found in al-Shanafiyah area, some 50 km southwest of Diwaniyah, the capital city of al-Qadsiyah province, the state-owned al-Sabah newspaper quoted a provincial council member as saying.

"Judicial teams from the Iraqi Human Rights Ministry arrived at the site where the bodies buried in trenches at the local cemetery of al-Amharri in al-Shanafiyah," Dakhil Saihoud, a member of the provincial council and head of the council's justice and accountability commission told the newspaper.

"Preliminary investigations indicate that the remains are those of Kurds who have been killed during Saddam regime in 1980s," Saihoud said.

He said that the judicial teams have transferred some of the bodies to forensic laboratories in the city of Najaf to help in identification.

Mass graves in Iraq become well known since the U.S.-led invasion of the country, as dozens of mass graves were discovered made during Saddam Hussein's rule, but dozens others were discovered later were made by the chaos and the bloodshed that followed the 2003 war of Iraq.

It's hard for us at MMM to condone violence of any kind. We have always been proponents of peace. However change is violent. We above all else want change, thus from the beginning we have accepted the idea our ideal world would require turmoil. Turning the other cheek gets you hurt on both sides. Thus we propose this radical solution.

Billions of people can be freed and saved with four bullets and one bomb. A small price to pay for safety of the whole world and to ensure the betterment of humanity.

The concept is not outrageous or science fiction. It's proven. We were able to kill Osama once we knew where he was.

These particular individuals whereabouts are known and their lives are worthless. All the world needs to do is get together at the UN and pass the resolution. If it's a cost of money I am sure people around the world will chip in.

Then all we got to do is shoot Assad in Syria, Abdullah in Jordan, Quadhafi in Libya, Ayatoallah in Iran and then drop a bomb in Saudi Arabia.

Why a bomb in Saudi? Because it's not just one person in the lair of Satan. We have to take out the whole family.

Billions of people will be freed from tyranny. Billions of people will learn what hope means. Hope of a chance for a better life is the spark to light the fire of humanity.

In the world of dictatorships, or authoritarian rule the question which needs answering is; WHY PEOPLE?

Why do (we) the people allow dictators and authoritarians to get away with abusing the masses?
Let's start with the Muslims? Why are Sunnis and Shias fighting? Why do Iraqis fight each other? Why do the police and the security service kill their compatriots? In truth they need to be reminded that they do not get any benefits.
The people in power use the common people to maintain their position. In Iran the Ayatoallahs use the people to keep their privileges. Why should the common people continue to harm each other to allow the elites a chance to maintain their dominions?
So Muslim citizens, refuse to fight each other. Sunni or Shia is irrelevant, Kurd or Turk, Jew or Christian, all irrelevant. The world has only one real conflict. The masses against the elites. More than socialism this is about the majority understanding the need to unite and become tolerant of others. By uniting for the bigger goal: peace, freedom, equality over personal, religious, ideological gains.

Let us consider Syria. The people killing the citizens need to ask themselves why are we doing this for Assad. Basher the coward is not on the streets killing, he is sending out others. The leaders themselves never go out and commit the atrocities. So why are these people not asking themselves the question. Why don't they kill high not low?
We can revolutionize the world if soldiers, police, citizens, and masses accepted this mantra.
When ordered by your superiors or leaders to kill or harm another ask yourself why, then take the position 'I will only kill those who are above me in economic and political status'. How quickly would this world change?
Our children are all the same. Let's make a vow. No to elites making us kill, harm, or elites dividing us to maintain their position. Every chance you get kill only the elite. There are billions of poor, ONLY A handful of leaders, kings, ayatoallahs, presidents, party leaders......

A trial was held behind closed doors today in Bahrain and four protesters were sentenced to death. The world didn't even peep at the outrage.

Six men had there sentence overturned in Pakistan for raping a woman on the orders of the village council. She was raped as a PUNISHMENT FOR HER BROTHER HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH A MARRIED WOMAN!!!!!

The people of the world are rising up all over the world in the name of freedom, democracy and equality. They need a voice to stand behind them. If you read the papers, or watch the news all you see are arrests all across Europe. 9 in Britain, 7 in Germany, 4 in Denmark and on and on....
Do these guys not know Bush is gone? Have they not heard the war on terror is over?

Years ago, on the 14th of Sept 2001 and George Bush warned the world, this would be a long war and would be a war between modernization and fanatics. It had nothing to do with him or the US. Now 10 years later the Europeans are starting to get it. 10 years?!!!!

Also just this August the German government finally shut down the Taiba Mosque in Hamburg, where the terrorist for 9/11 came from. 9 fucking years too late.

This week the German Interior Ministry raided mosques and two organizations and made arrest of people who weren't doing anything, or hadn't done anything yet. Using direct quotes..."a democracy shouldn't wait until faced with a violent form of holy war before it takes action against organizations that oppose the German constitution."

CAIRO (AP) — A Saudi magazine on Tuesday said police arrested its editor a few days after he warned of a possible power struggle within the royal family because of the poor health of the king and crown prince.

The arrest reflects the Saudi ruling family's deep sensitivity over any public speculation over succession, splits or instability in its leadership.

King Abdullah, 86, is currently in New York recuperating after two back surgeries, while the next in line for the throne — his 85-year-old half-brother, Crown Prince Sultan — is also ailing, though nominally in charge in Saudi Arabia after spending more than a year recovering from his own medical treatment, reportedly for cancer.

Succession in the world's largest oil producer is from brother to brother, and with much of the current generation of the royal family in its 80s, there are concerns about the future stability of this key U.S. ally.

The Omma Conference magazine said in a statement posted on its website that police arrested its editor Mohammed Al-Abdul Karim at his home and took him to Hayer prison outside the capital Riyadh, but charges have yet been filed.

In an article last week, Al-Abdul Karim predicted that Abdullah's death might cause the oil-rich kingdom to fall apart.

"What if the family collapses by internal conflict, struggle within, or through foreign factors? Shall the (kingdom's) unity and the destiny of the people remain tied to whether royal family stays or goes?" he wrote in the article entitled "Searching for the Saudi People Destiny."

"Some of the statesmen are after a regime that only preserves their own interests which they find through autocracy, hegemony, greed, manipulation and bribes," he wrote.

Saudi officials could not be reached for comment.

The ailing king, who underwent a second operation to repair damaged vertebrae on Friday, has curtailed his activities since June, and has missed recent cabinet meetings.

Attention now is focussed on the likely second-in-line for the throne — the powerful interior minister and deputy prime minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz. The 76-year-old Nayef, another half-brother of the king, chaired Cabinet meetings in the king's absence last month and is representing the kingdom at a crucial Gulf summit in neighboring United Arab Emirates. But he too has received unspecified medical treatment.

Many Saudis have been expressing concern about the possibility of a fierce power struggle as the current generation of princes — all sons of Saudi Arabia's founder King Abdul-Aziz Al Saud — age.

Middle East diplomats say the Saudi royal family has been divided into factions vying for power and expect the struggle to intensify with the deterioration of the king's and the crown prince's health.

Such a conflict could come at a crucial time for the main U.S. Gulf ally as the region faces up to challenges by Iran over its nuclear program and regional influence.

Abdullah rose to the throne in 2005 after the death of King Fahd, though he had already been a de-facto ruler for half a decade.

In an attempt to formalize the succession system, Abdullah in 2006 set up the Allegiance Council, a body that is composed of Abdul-Aziz's sons and grandsons, who will vote by a secret ballot to choose future kings and crown princes.

The council's mandate will not start until after the reigns of Abdullah and Sultan are over. That means it could weigh in on whether Nayef can step in.

The bigger question is what happens when the generation of Abdul-Aziz's sons runs out. The youngest of the seven or eight sons often cited as having the stature and experience to rule are in their mid-60s — suggesting the generation still has some time left in power.

But sooner or later, the throne will have to move on to the next generation, raising the potentially deeply divisive question of which Abdul-Aziz son will pass power to his own son. Abdullah's creation of the council aimed in part to provide a system for that transfer.

Each brother has sought to set up his sons in positions of power, in part to guarantee their line's position. Nayef's son Mohammed, for example, is chief of the powerful counterterrorism forces that took the lead in the fight against al-Qaida.

Before leaving the kingdom Abdullah handed his son Prince Miteb bin Abdullah the leadership of the elite quarter million-strong national guard.

The other day, we read about economist talking about how America has made a huge mistake in its two wars? It has endangered its economy and its place in the world. However we here a MMM wonder why the world has become a economic issue?
All of our view of the world and its issue are being influenced by economic variables.

We read about the execution in Somalia of two young girls and ask ourselves, what about humanity? How can we live in a world as such and not think it matters? As long as our foreign policy is controlled by economics we will never end such tragedies and criminality. Those who are against wars in Afghanistan or Iraq or any other place, against Al-Quida and the muslim or any other fanatics should have these deaths on their conscience. We mourn Ayan Mohamed Jama, 18, and Huriyo Ibrahim, 15.

We add Sheik Mohamed Ibrahim and Sheik Yusuf Ali Ugas, to our hit list of those who need to be sent to hell.

So to those who march for peace thousands of miles from the action, let us ask; is it economics or humanity? Where are you getting your principles from? What about humanity?

MOGADISHU, Somalia – An Islamic group that controls much of southern Somalia executed two girls by firing squad, and hundreds of residents of a town were forced to view the spectacle.

Sheik Mohamed Ibrahim on Wednesday sentenced the girls to death in the town of Belet Weyne for spying for government soldiers fighting the Islamist group al-Shabab. The local al-Shabab administration appoints judges and the only needed qualifications are that the person must be a man who knows the Quran.

Al-Shabab is linked to al-Qaida and has carried out several whippings, amputations and executions to enforce its own strict interpretation of Islam. This was the first public execution of girls in Belet Weyne, a western Somali town.

Abdiwali Aden, a witness, told The Associated Press by phone that al-Shabab militiamen had walked through Belet Weyne's streets, informing residents about the pending executions by loudspeaker and ordering everyone to attend.

Ayan Mohamed Jama, 18, and Huriyo Ibrahim, 15, were brought before hundreds of residents. Ten masked men opened fire Wednesday on the girls, who were blindfolded, soon after the sentencing. As the girls were shot, they shouted "There is no God but Allah," said a witness who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals.

A woman fainted after she saw the girls being shot, said Da'ud Ahmed, another witness.

An al-Shabab official, Sheik Yusuf Ali Ugas, said the girls had admitted to spying. But Sadia Osman, who witnessed the execution, said one of the girls said she was innocent. Ugas also warned residents against using their mobile phones or cameras to document the execution, saying violates of his rule risked amputation.

Human Rights Watch said in an April report that al-Shabab imposes "unrelenting repression and brutality."

Al-Shabab, which vows allegiance to al-Qaida and whose members include foreign fighters, controls large parts of southern Somalia and much of the capital, Mogadishu.

Somalia has not had an effective central government for 19 years. The U.N.-backed government controls only a few blocks of Mogadishu, while its allies control much of central Somalia.

LONDON – A Saudi prince was convicted Tuesday of murdering one of his servants in a frenzied attack in a British hotel.

A jury in London's Old Bailey criminal court found Prince Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud guilty of murdering Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz at the Landmark Hotel in London on Feb. 15.

The 34-year-old prince, whose grandfather is a brother of the current Saudi king, faces a possible life prison term in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday.

The jury deliberated 95 minutes before returning its verdict.

Prosecutor Jonathan Laidlaw said the prince had abused his aide in the past, showing jurors video shot in the Landmark's elevator which appears to show the shaven-headed prince, dressed in white, throwing his 32-year-old servant around and battering him. Photographs of Abdulaziz stored on a mobile phone "plainly proved" that there was a "sexual element" to the abuse, Laidlaw said.

Al Saud originally told police that he and Abdulaziz had been drinking into the early hours of the morning, and that when he awoke at 3 p.m. he could not rouse Abdulaziz.

Jurors rejected a claim by his defense lawyer John Kelsey-Fry that the prince was guilty only of manslaughter.

The prince was convicted of both murder and a second count of grievous bodily harm with intent relating to the attack in the elevator.

"Beneath the surface this was a deeply abusive relationship which the defendant exploited, as the assaults in the lift so graphically demonstrate, for sadistic reasons, for his own personal gratification," Laidlaw told the jury.

"The abuse extended beyond physical abuse. There was plainly an emotional element and psychological element to it."

The prosecutor said Abdulaziz surrendered meekly to the fatal assault.

"He was killed without apparently ever having fought back because the defendant was completely unharmed, without any mark at all, when he was examined at the police station. Bandar appears to have let the defendant kill him," Laidlaw said.

How many have died at the hands of these monsters? When will Allah call these mosters to account? Here is what is happening in America. The biggest name in Christianity is Joel Olsteen. He and his group of pastors preach Christianity which seems to be at odds with the book. Now I am not Christian, so I maybe wrong, but religion christian or muslim or any other kind never was for the Rich.
These people preach this idea you deserve what you have. You should ask for wealth. You should get wealth and all the material things you want.
Muslims are no different. Muslim religion leaders are becoming materialistic and accepting the same philosophy.

What gets me, and I admit I am no religious scholar, is how that is now what religion is about.

God was always for the poor!!!!! Religions took on the establishment. Moses led them across the ocean. Mohammed fought the establishment, Jesus healed the poor and disadvantaged. All religion stories are about people helping the poor and helping them get ahead. How many poor can get into the Olsteen church? Where is the humility? Did I miss the earthing of new papers that re-state the concepts of religion. God didn't not come to the Romans and told them to help the poor but also to pray for more wealth. Would God give his blessings to Joel Osteen?
So, why is it today Religion promotes wealth, and looks down on the downtrodden? Yes they help the poor, but only as a way to claim they are doing something. The poor are looked at as deserving of their place in society. That is not how your God's want it; according to your own historical records.

Here we are in the 21st century and the stats just don't do justice.
A survey by Trends in Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) had the following stats:
-Of the 48 countries studied for their education systems, all 12 Arab countries fell below the average.
-Less than 1% of the students aged 12-13 reached advanced benchmark in science compared to 32% in Singapore or 10% in America
-Listing of top 500 Universities in the world has none in the Arab world. 6 in Israel!
-Egypt is 124 in the list of quality of primary school education system based on Math and Science
-Libya is 128 in the list of higher education rankings, even thou it has $16 000 income for citizens, as opposed to Burkina Faso with $577 income per citizen. However Burkina Faso has a higher rating.

So are Muslims just genetically dumb?
The answer is NO. Only their leaders.
It is the leaders of this country who control education policy and they are not spending or improving their education systems. They do not educate their people; kids.
The simplest solution would be to reduce religious studies. In Saudi Arabia 31% of classroom time is devoted to religion compared to 20% for Math. 1/4 of their students devote their main part of the degree to Islamic studies over Math, Engineering, Science, Medicine...
Religious study remains obligatory from primary thru University levels.

Stop the religious study. Teach Math, Science, and teach everyone!
Otherwise you are going to prove the statement Muslims are dumb. We at MMM are not dumb and do not want to be considered dumb. Roman Catholic bishops called on corrupt Catholic leaders in Africa on Saturday to repent or resign for giving the continent and the Church a bad name.

Around 200 African bishops, along with dozens of other bishops and Africa experts, also accused multinational companies in Africa of “crimes against humanity” and urged Africans to beware of “surreptitious” attempts by international organizations to destroy traditional African values.

Their three-week synod, which ends formally on Sunday with a mass by Pope Benedict, covered a range of Africa’s problems, such as AIDS, corruption, poverty, development aspirations and crime.

But it had a very direct message for corrupt African leaders who were raised Catholics. “Many Catholics in high office have fallen woefully short in their performance in office. The synod calls on such people to repent, or quit the public arena and stop causing havoc to the people and giving the Catholic Church a bad name.”

The message did not name any leaders. The international community has for years called on Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, who was raised a Catholic and educated by Jesuits, to step down, saying he had brought his once-prosperous country to its knees.

Another African leader who was raised a Catholic and has been accused of corruption is Angola’s President Eduardo dos Santos. Both men deny any wrongdoing. Rights groups and international agencies have accused Angola’s government of siphoning away billions in oil revenue and urged it to improve transparency.

Angola rivals Nigeria as Africa’s biggest oil producer but about two thirds of the population live on less than $2 a day. It ranks 158th on Transparency International’s 180-nation list, in which the country perceived as most corrupt is in last place.

The synod bishops hit out forcefully at multinational companies, saying they were one of Africa’s greatest problems. “Multinationals have to stop their criminal devastation of the environment in their greedy exploitation of natural resources,” the bishops said.

“It is short-sighted policy to foment wars in order to make fast gains from chaos, at the cost of human lives and blood. Is there no-one out there able and willing to stop all these crimes against humanity?”

By continuing this tradition, it takes the girls out of the education system.
Thus there is an 80% illiteracy rate amongst women in Afghanistan.
Yet we have a president with two daughters who promised to change the world, doing nothing to help change. Even if made the public aware of these stats it would help.

We here at MMM want send out condolences to the family of and add Malalai Kakar to our list of heroes and true martyrs. She was a senior police woman in Afghanistan who fought against child brides and was killed by the Taliban.

A muslim court in Sudan charged a woman $200 for wearing pants. If not for the publicity and attention she may have been flogged. I wonder if they have a list of fines somewhere in their courts. Skirts $400? How much for mini skirts? How much for not wearing pants?

The young man jailed for writing about the religion or questioning it, has been released after serving a year or so. However he is on parole. He can't write anything until he dies. I am surprised they didn't cut his hands off.

Why is the violence up during Ramadan? Because the pious are irritated and angry due to lack of food.

The elections in Afghanistan are still undecided. Allegations of Fraud. Once again, the ones in power cannot let go. Mr. Karzai is on his way to our wall of shame.

We were so happy a few weeks ago, when the election in Lebanon went smoothly. We were also overjoyed with the result. The western leaning party of both Christians and Muslims won the vote over the Muslim fanatics. This is a sign, when Muslims are given a chance they will seek freedom. RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - A group of Saudi clerics urged the kingdom's new information minister on Sunday to ban women from appearing on TV or in newspapers and magazines, making clear that the country's hardline religious establishment is skeptical of a new push toward moderation.

In a statement, the 35 hardline clergymen also called on Abdel Aziz Khoja, who was appointed by King Abdullah on Feb. 14, to prohibit the playing of music and music shows on television.

"We have great hope that this media reform will be accomplished by you," said the statement. "We have noticed how well-rooted perversity is in the Ministry of Information and Culture, in television, radio, press, culture clubs and the book fair."

Although it raises the pressure on the new minister, the recommendation is likely to have little effect. Khoja's appointment was part of a government shake-up by Abdullah that removed a number of hardline figures and is believed to be part of an effort to weaken the influence of conservatives in this devout desert kingdom.

"No Saudi women should appear on TV, no matter what the reason," the statement said. "No images of women should appear in Saudi newspapers and magazines."

Saudi Arabia was founded on an alliance with the conservative Wahhabi strain of Islam that sees the mixing of sexes as anathema and believes the playing of music violates religious values.

The former information minister, Iyad Madani, earned the ire of hardliners several years ago by allowing music in government-run TV and female journalists to interview men, despite the country's strict gender-segregation rules.

Women also appear on Saudi television with their faces showing, though most in public totally cover themselves.

Newspapers publish pictures of Saudi women, but almost always with their heads covered, while pictures of Western entertainers are shown but bare arms and cleavage are painted over.

The clerics include several professors from the ultra-conservative Imam University, Islamic research scholars, a judge in a court in the resort of Taif and some government employees.

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, in town for meetings with Saudi officials, told a news conference that during lunch he sat between a female Saudi surgeon and a female journalist. He said while one woman is allowed to perform surgery and another is allowed to teach, neither is permitted to drive.

"I find that bizarre," he said.

A child dies in Dafur; A woman is beaten in Saudi Arabia, a girl is denied education in Pakistan, a girl is circumcised in Nigeria, a woman is burned in Iran, and a woman and her daughters are shot in America. All of this happens in one day on this planet and the world if focused on a bunch of elite pampered representatives hanging out in Bali discussing the weather.

Do you really believe its the issue? If you can get all these people from all these countries in one room, the best thing you can discuss is the weather?
